Hey Folks,
Today we went out to MacSkimming for some Outdoor Education. The students learned about predators and prey and we played a fun simulation game in the forest. After a nice campfire and roasting hotdogs we went out for a nature walk into the woods. Many students found salamanders and frogs. It was a great day to be spent outdoors.

Monster Exchange
Today the students explored the possibilities surrounding creating and drawing a monster with pencil, software or collage. Of course nobody chose to do a collage, but the hand drawn and software expressed monsters were well done. The creative juices were flowing.
In math, the students looked at tangrams and their relationships to ratio.
Everyone is very excited for the field trip to Gatineau Park tomorrow. King Mountain here we come. Stay tuned for some picks.

Basket and Gum Balls
Today in Math the students looked at volume and tried to guess the amount of gumballs that were in a jar using mathematical calculations. The students with the most accurate guess win the jar full of gum. Today also marked the beginning of basketball in gym with some new skills and drills and finished with a good old fashioned game of BUMP.
