All About me Boxes - Canadian History - Descriptive Writing

Today marked the beginning of what direction we are going to take in the researching of Canadian History. Students decided what aspects of the Unit most interested them. Some questions that were asked was why did settlers choose to come to Canada?; Who chose to have their country come here?; What did we trade with the natives?

In English students are making their ALL ABOUT ME boxes which contains five items that best describe themselves. Once completed the students will give a brief presentation of all the items and will be assessed based on their oral skills. Further, we jumped into starting our descriptive writing and what makes a sentence more descriptive and why it is important for readers to have description to add interest.... More to follow.
